Luhansk Region
The Russians from tanks, mortars, barrel and jet artillery opened fire on Makiivka, Ploschanka, Nevske, Dibrova and Chervonpopivka in the Lyman direction.
In the Kupiansk direction, Novoselyvske and Stelmakhivka were damaged by the enemy. Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation has carried out 13 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and five strikes on the positions of the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile systems. Almost every day, the Russians suffer the greatest losses in the Lyman and Bakhmut directions.
Donetsk Region
During the night there were shelling of the positions and outskirts of the Toretsk community with heavy weapons and small arms. The situation is tense, but controlled in the area of the villages of Ozoryanivka, Kurdyumivka, New York, Pivnichne, Pivdenne, Shumy, Druzhba, Mahdalynivka and the town of Zalizne. The situation near Bakhmut and Avdiivka is difficult. Over the past day in the Donetsk region: two dead, four injured.
Chernihiv Region
There were enemy shelling from mortars: Koryukivka, Novhorod-Sivers districts, a total of 49 explosions. No losses and destruction, says the summary from Regional Military Administration as of 9 in the morning.
Sumy Region
During the day, the enemy shelled the Putivl community of the Sumy region with mortars. There were 14 arrivals. Yesterday morning, three enemy mines exploded on the outskirts of the Seredyno-Budsk community. In both cases – without victims and destruction.
Kharkiv Region
The enemy continued to strike in the direction of Kupiansk yesterday. The occupiers shelled the positions of our military in the areas of Chervona Zorya, Krasne, Staritsa, Dvorichna and Novomlynsk settlements.
A 63-year-old woman received a shrapnel wound in the village of Kivsharivka, Kupiansk district. Hospitalized in moderate condition. At night, a critical infrastructure object was damaged in the city of Kupiansk as a result of shelling from the S300 air defense system. Also, in the morning, a two-story administrative building burned down in the Kupiansk district due to enemy shelling. There are no victims or injured. Detailed information on the consequences is being clarified.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
This morning the enemy again shelled the Nikopol district. The Chervonohryhorivka community came under attack. Previously, people were not injured. The consequences are being investigated. At night, the Russians shelled the Myrove and Marhanets communities in the Nikopol region with «Hrad» and heavy artillery. No victims. Private houses and farm buildings were damaged. Details are being clarified. At the site of the shelling, representatives of the State Emergency Service continue to survey the territories.
Zaporizhzhia Region
The occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the area of the settlements of Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Temyrivka, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaki, Kamianske, Orihiv, Novodanilivka, Dorozhnyanka, Malynivka, Biloghirya, Olhivske, Charivne, Stepnohirsk.
11 reports were received about the destruction of houses (apartments) of citizens and infrastructure objects as a result of the Russian occupiers. Information about the consequences is being clarified.
Mykolayiv Region
The Chornomorske community was under enemy fire this morning. The infrastructure facility was damaged. There are no casualties. Yesterday afternoon, the enemy attacked the water area and the coastal zone of the Ochakiv community from salvo rocket systems. Without victims and victims. The community also suffered massive artillery strikes today at 06:00 and 07:05. Infrastructure objects were destroyed and damaged. There are no previous victims. The consequences are clarified.
Kherson Region
The enemy continues to shell the Kherson region. Fires artillery, tanks, mortars, and MLRS at peaceful settlements. According to the information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the affected areas were Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Novotyaginka, Tokarivka, Yantarne and the city of Kherson. According to available information, the occupiers mined country plots and the coast of the Konka and Chaika rivers within the Oleshky urban territorial community of the Kherson region.
Racists shelled the Dnipro district of Kherson. Enemy shells hit residential buildings. An 8-year-old child died. Another woman was caught by Russian shelling on the way home. She died on the spot from her injuries. Two people received medium and severe injuries. Yesterday, rockets from multiple rocket systems hit the center of Kherson. Shells hit the building of the Kherson Regional Military Administration – two floors were damaged. According to preliminary information, there are no victims. Work continues in the region to restore normal life to the liberated Kherson region, humanitarian aid is arriving.

The boy’s mother created a petition to Zelensky to make the child’s dream come true.
Eight-year-old Dmytro from the Lviv region wrote a request to St. Nicholas that his father be posthumously recognized as a Hero of Ukraine – in a letter to the miracle worker. The unusual letter to St. Nicholas surprised the adults, so to help make her son’s dream come true, his mother registered a petition to the president, TSN reports.
His father, 33-year-old Vasyl Kordyuk, died during the liberation of the Kherson region. Before the war, he worked as a car mechanic. «He went to war voluntarily, without telling anyone, not even me. He came, took his military ID and left,» recalls his wife Olha.
Served in the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade, took part in the liberated Kherson Region. «One thing he said, how everything will be fine – you will hear on the news, these are his last words. «He hasn’t called us since October 5,» she recounts her last conversation with her husband.
That day, they were going on an errand, say Vasyl’s brothers. A tank hit an armored car, three soldiers were killed immediately. Vasyl survived and helped the wounded to get out of the car engulfed in flames, but Vasyl himself did not escape from the dense enemy fire. «They dived into another «Cossack», drove literally 200 meters, where they were also hit by an enemy projectile, they all jumped out of it, evacuated and literally 40 seconds later, a minute later – there was already a second flight, where, according to their words, Vasyl died from an enemy wreck,» says the comrade.
The man’s body was found only a month after the death on the day of the liberation of Kherson. «They showed the man’s belongings that were near him – a bulletproof vest, his call sign, his phone, but they said that the body was very difficult to recognize, the man was hit in the head,» the woman recalls.
Olha says that her husband is already a hero for her, but she decided to make her son’s dream come true and registered a petition in which she asks to recognize her husband as a Hero of Ukraine. 4,000 people supported the petition, and 25,000 votes were needed to consider it.
Eight-year-old Dmytryk packs a letter with wishes in an envelope and puts it on the windowsill. He believes that his wish will come true – the war will end, and the Golden Star order will be added to his father’s belongings.
