Summary by regions

Luhansk Region

The enemy shelled the areas of 23 settlements. Among them are Dvorichna, Kotlyarivka, Krokhmalne, Berestov and Kislivka in the Kharkiv region and Novoselyvske, Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Kuzmyne and Chervonopopivka in the Luhansk region.

Donetsk Region

On January 15, the Russians injured 7 civilians of Donetsk region: 2 in Bakhmut and Avdiivka, 1 in Velyka Novosilka, Lyman and Soledar. Currently, it is impossible to establish the exact number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha.

Areas of more than 25 settlements were damaged by fire in the Bakhmut direction. In particular, these are Spirne, Ozaryanivka, Klishchiivka, Ivano-Daryivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Druzhba, New York and Pivnichne of the Donetsk region. In the Avdiivka direction, tanks and the entire range of artillery shelled Georgiivka, Vesele, Avdiivka, Nevelske, Pervomaiske, Mariinka, Vodyane, Orlivka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.

On the Novopavlivka direction, Vuhledar, Prechistivka and Mykilski Dachi of the Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

Kharkiv Region

This morning, the enemy once again shelled the city of Kupiansk. A private home and an apartment building were damaged. Two people were injured: a 41-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman. The man was hospitalized in moderate condition. The woman received help on the spot.

During the past day, the Russian occupiers fired artillery, mortars and tanks at the border settlements of Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Kharkiv districts. In particular, Vovchansk, Staritsa, Ohirtseve, Dvorichna, Strelecha and others were under enemy fire.

In Vovchansk, as a result of enemy shelling, an educational institution was damaged and a fire broke out. Private residential buildings and commercial buildings were also affected.

Dnipropetrovsk Region

At night, the Russians shelled the Nikopol district several times with heavy artillery. At least 15 shells landed in Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities. People are unharmed.

In Chervonohryhorivka, one and a half dozen private houses and commercial buildings, power lines and gas pipelines were mutilated. In the rest of the districts, a siren warned of danger at night, but there were no attacks.

Zaporizhzhia Region

On the night of January 16, the enemy launched a rocket attack on the regional center and suburbs. There is destruction of civil, residential and industrial infrastructure. Information was received about several lightly wounded. All relevant services are on site.

Mykolayiv Region

Mykolayiv district: yesterday, January 15, at 1:50 p.m., the enemy fired artillery strikes outside the settlement of the Kutsurub community. There were no damages or injuries.

In Mykolayiv, Pervomaiske, Voznesensk and Bashtan districts, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Kherson Region

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Russian invaders attacked the Kherson region 90 times. Peaceful settlements of the region suffered from shelling from artillery, MLRS, mortars and tanks.

The Russians shelled Kherson 21 times – they attacked residential quarters of the city. The enemy targeted the building of the Red Cross, the city hospital, the rehabilitation center for children with disabilities, the shipbuilding plant, the critical infrastructure facility, and residential buildings.

Yesterday, 3 people were killed due to Russian aggression, 14 residents of the Kherson Region were injured of varying degrees of severity.

A man squeezing an artery: the famous business coach miraculously survived in Dnipro

In the house on the 9th floor of Naberezhna Peremohy (Seafront of Victory), 118, which was hit by a Russian missile, the family of the well-known business coach Olha Botvinova was living less than a year. The family has already fled from the «Russian world» twice – in 2014 from Donetsk, where they left a successful business and home, and in the spring of 2022 – from Kherson.

Olha found shelter and new opportunities for development in the Dnipro: the woman worked, big events were organized. At the time of the missile attack, Olha and her husband were on the 9th floor of the now destroyed entrance. The woman was injured. The man clamped the artery for a long time so that she would wait for help.

Previously, on January 14, Russia massively attacked Ukraine with missiles. According to the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the occupiers fired 38 missiles of various types. Air defense forces destroyed 25 of them.

One of the Kh-22 cruise missiles hit a high-rise building in Dnipro. The search and rescue operation in the Dnipro has been going on for almost 40 hours. According to the latest data, 35 people died.

In Dnipro, three days of mourning were announced for those who died as a result of a Russian missile attack on a residential building.
