Luhansk Region
Over the past day, it was confirmed that 16 areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, a support point, as well as eight positions of the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile systems were hit. Soldiers of the missile forces and artillery struck four control points, five areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, two air defense facilities and one – artillery, two ammunition depots, an electronic warfare station, as well as other military targets of the enemy. On October 18, the Armed Forces repelled several enemy attacks. In particular, in the direction of Bilohorivka.
The Russians continue to shell the liberated settlements, turning them into ashes. Yes, yesterday they once again opened fire on Stelmakhivka in the Kupiansk direction, Hrekivka, Nadia, Bilohorivka and Novoyehorivka in the Lyman direction. In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy inflicted fire from tanks and artillery along the entire line of contact. In total, Russian troops shelled the positions of Luhansk defenders with artillery and mortars 13 times.
Donetsk Region
At night – shelling of the village of Paraskoviivka near Soledar. One five-story building and three private houses in the center of the village were damaged. No civilians were injured. At night and in the morning – shelling along the front line: Avdiivka, Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, Bakhmut. Four civilians were killed and 12 wounded in the region during the day.
Kharkiv Region
Yesterday, the occupiers shelled the territories of the Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Kupiansk districts adjacent to the contact line and the border with the Russian Federation. Areas of settlements: Vovchanski Khutory, Volohivka, Hatyshche, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Starytsia, Strelecha and Khatne were fired at from mortars, barrel and rocket artillery. During the day, two people were hospitalized with injuries. Demining continues in the liberated territory of the region. During the day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service defused 709 explosive objects.
Sumy Region
At night, there was artillery shelling of the Seredyno-Budsk community, 12 airstrikes. Previously, without consequences. Detailed information is being clarified. Yesterday, during the day, the Russians shelled the populated areas of the region. They targeted civilians and civilian objects with mortars and artillery. Two people were killed and one wounded as a result of shelling in the village of Yunakiv community. Also, during the past day, there was artillery shelling of the Khotyn community, and mortar shelling of the Novosloboba community. A total of 64 parishes.
Zaporizhzhia Region
At night, the enemy attacked a critical infrastructure facility in one of the villages of the Zaporizhzhia district. The occupier used S300 missiles. A fire broke out at the facility, which was promptly extinguished by rescuers. There are no casualties. Details regarding the consequences are being clarified.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
At night, the enemy attacked the Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol districts. Rockets hit an energy infrastructure facility in the Kryvyi Rih district. Settlements in Apostolove, Zelenodolsk, Shyroke and Sofiivskyi communities and one of the districts of Kryvyi Rih remained without electricity. Several pumping stations of local water utilities were de-energized. There are water outages. Energy workers are already fixing everything. In Kryvyi Rih, a two-story building was damaged as a result of an enemy attack. Previously, people were not injured. In the Nikopol district, the enemy shelled Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities with «Hrads», «Hurricanes» and heavy artillery. People are unharmed. Mutilated residential buildings.
Mykolayiv Region
At night, the enemy attacked Mykolayiv region twice with Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. 13 of them were shot down on the territory of the region. The Berezneguvate community remains under constant fire. At night, the surroundings of three settlements were shelled. Information on victims and damage is being clarified. There was also shelling outside the villages of the Shyroke community yesterday evening. Hits were recorded on agricultural land. There were no injuries or damage.
Kherson Region
Active hostilities continue. Territorial communities along the battle line and in the rear areas systematically suffer from enemy shelling, missile strikes, and drone attacks. According to Operational Command «Pivden», the enemy is conducting an active defense and is trying to hold the occupied lines. Continues to inflict fire damage on our troops with the use of aviation, heavy artillery, MLRS and mortars. The enemy Subversive and reconnaissance group tried to bypass our positions near Nova Kamyanka. She suffered losses in the battle and left. The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two ammunition depots in Beryslav district. In the Beryslav district, a unit of the Kherson anti-aircraft missile brigade of the «Pivden» air command.

More than 1,243 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
Since the beginning of the war, the Russian occupiers have killed 428 children in Ukraine and injured more than 815. Children were the most affected in the Donetsk region.

«As of the morning of October 19, 2022, more than 1,243 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 428 children died and more than 815 were injured of varying degrees of severity. The most affected children were in the Donetsk region – 415, Kharkiv region – 258, Kyiv region – 116, Mykolayiv region – 77, Zaporizhzhia region – 69, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 64, Kherson region – 57, Dnipropetrovsk region – 31,» the message says.
It is noted that these numbers are not final, as work is ongoing to establish them in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Thus, during the recording of crimes committed on the territory of the Donetsk region, the bodies of three children aged 2, 9 and 14 years old with signs of shrapnel and mine-explosive wounds were found at the place of spontaneous burial in the city of Lyman.
The Prosecutor General’s Office also added that 2,663 educational institutions were damaged due to bombing and shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation, 326 of them were completely destroyed.
