On 8 February, a territorial defence recruitment centre opened at Pekarska Street, 41 in Lviv. Here, everyone interested can get professional advice, submit applications and documents for joining the territorial defence forces, according to the Lviv City Council.
The centre operates on the 2nd floor on Pekarska Street, 41. One specialist will advise and provide background information on joining the Territorial Defense, while the other, a representative of the Territorial Defense Brigade, will accept documents for joining the brigade.
To join the defence, you need to enlist in the reserve. The contract is concluded for a period of 3 years. Citizens of Ukraine between the ages of 18 and 57, who must be on the military register, can enlist in the military. They must also have good health and no criminal record.
After checking a military ID or certificate, a person will be offered a position available in the staff of the Territorial Defense Forces and will have to write an application to join it. Then, she will receive a list of documents that need to be collected and issued for personal file and submission to the district centres of staffing and social support.
«They will form a personal file and call them to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After that, a contract will be signed for service in the reserve as part of the territorial defence forces,» – the head of the regional defence, Valery Kurko explained.
Note that information on territorial defence and brigade formation can be obtained at the phone number 1580 daily on weekdays – Monday to Friday from 08.00 to 17.00.

It will be recalled that the Law of Ukraine «On the Fundamentals of National Resistance» came into force on 1 January. In order to enlist in the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces, residents can apply to the district staffing and social support centre at the place of registration.
