The Lviv City Council appointed Andrii Pavliv as temporary chief of its Investment and Projects Department, the First Deputy Mayor of Lviv Andriy Maskalenko announced. Pavliv will work in this position until a competition is held among all candidates.
Earlier, he was chief of the Lviv Convention Bureau, which, according to Deputy Mayor Moskalenko, became one of Europe’s best at holding conference events. Andrii Pavliv graduated from Lviv Business School in 2014 and year after that, participated in exchange programs at Aachen University in Germany and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, studying business administration and industrial expertise.
A 2005 alumnus of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, he has worked for the state-energy firm Naftogas and since November 2017 as an investment advisor for UkraineInvest, Kyiv’s investment promotion agency. In that role, Pavliv focused on industrial manufacturing, mining, and oil and gas in the seven regions of Western Ukraine.
At the same time, Roman Staretsky, who previously headed the investment department, is moving to the position of advisor to the mayor on investment policy.

We will add that Lviv’s Investment and Projects Department has recently launched its own website. The updated online resource should provide investors with information about the investment market in Lviv. The information on the site can be viewed in Ukrainian and English.
