The café Te Amo Lviv, Spanish for «I love you Lviv,» has become a hub for Lviv’s expats and English-speaking locals. Joe Lindsley, Lviv Now’s editor, invites Te Amo regulars to offer their perspectives on the city of Lviv.

I am from Lviv, a psychologist who has a passion for travel. For more than four years, I traveled the world as a nomad, volunteer, and adventurer.
Travel is the driving force that opens new frontiers, new abilities, new talents and priorities! That’s how my life changed after living in countries like Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Jordan, the Netherlands, Norway….
But when I returned home, to my beloved Lviv, it has been difficult to adjust to the forgotten (slow) rhythm. There is a lack of communication, adventure, a breath of fresh air.
Lviv after four years grew up: lots of restaurants, bars…new places. But not always do you have someone to hangout with! It was a problem – I feel myself like a tourist in the city where I actually grew up! Where to go? Who with? When? And I found a great solution – Te Amo Lviv Coffee Shop!

Once you come, you stay with them forever! This is exactly the format where small miracles happen every day: new people from all over the world gather to share inspiring stories, new experiences, cultural exchange… It’s priceless!
Psychology training, creative master classes, art therapy, language practices, watching movies, or even dancing or meditating: These are the coolest events in which I participated, and some of them I even organized myself.
Te Amo Lviv is a live, real social network, where everyone will find their own community of like-minded people. I highly recommend everyone to spend less time online and spend more time with real people!
I am proud of my city – Lviv. We have become a friendly, open minded international community!
