Training of Ukrainian servicemen for the use of the latest NLAW anti-tank missile systems began this week at the 184th Training Centre of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny in Lviv. Recently, they were provided by the British government to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by Armyinform.
According to the head of the National Academy of Land Forces, Lieutenant General Pavlo Tkachuk, soon the first few dozen servicemen of the Armed Forces will not only be skilled at effectively using these anti-RPG weapons but will also be able to train other Ukrainian soldiers.

We will add that the main purpose of NLAW missiles is to destroy armoured vehicles, armoured personnel carriers and tanks. The main characteristic of NLAW is an effective firing range of 400-600 meters, a maximum of 800. Guaranteed armour penetration of the cumulative part – up to 500 mm of homogeneous rolled armour. This ATGM also has a principle – shoot and forget.
The complex has an inertial guidance system and a magnetic detonator. Combat weight – 12.5 kg, which allows firing only one infantryman, who can be taught to shoot from this weapon very quickly.
It will be recalled that the day before, the United Kingdom began supplying Ukraine with anti-tank weapons to help protect itself from a potential Russian invasion, which has grouped troops near the border with Ukraine.
