19 February, Lviv will host the March of Unity taking place in the city centre. Such an event should demonstrate the readiness of Ukrainians to resist Russian aggression, Euromaidan Lviv reports.

«People of Lviv, in this difficult time for our state, we will show that Ukrainians are united. Under the threat of a new offensive by the Russian occupiers, we say that we will not give our country to the Russian aggressor,» – the statement reads.

The unity march will take place 19 February at 13:00. It will begin at the monument to Ivan Franko and finish with the performance of the anthem at the Memorial to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. This route was chosen to symbolically unite Ukrainians not only in space but also in time: those who live and those who fought and died for Ukraine.

Lviv Now/Tvoe Misto will broadcast the March of Unity on its website, Facebook and Youtube.

Everyone is encouraged to bring Ukrainian symbols and prepare posters. In particular, the following slogans for the inscriptions are suggested, in Ukrainian: «Together to victory!» «We are [i.e., «we exist»!» «Ukraine is the space of our future!» «East and West together!» «Defending Ukraine is our business!» «In unity is strength!» «I am proud of the army!» «I love Ukraine!» «Keep calm and protect Ukraine!» «Ukraine begins in your heart!» «In our house – our truth, and strength, and the will!» «Behind every drop, there is the ocean!» «Unity is our weapon!»

It will be recalled that Unity Day was held in Ukraine on 16 February. The state flag was hoisted on houses in all settlements, the Ukrainian national anthem was played at 10:00 a.m., and foreign diplomatic missions held «image events» to unite and support Ukraine.
