From September 1, military and pre-medical training courses will be introduced in the Lviv schools. This was announced in our video project «Topic of the Week» by Andrii Zakaliuk, head of the Education Department of the Lviv City Council.
«Military and pre-medical training is what our children must learn to do. They should grow resistant to any lies and propaganda because this virus is easy to catch. It can destroy people, societies, and countries. Therefore, it is very important to teach our children media literacy, critical thinking, read «correct» literature and distinguish between truth and lies. This is one of the most important competencies nowadays,» – he said.

According to him, each institution will have additional study hours so that every school could introduce its military and pre-medical training.
«Each institution has additional study hours, at the expense of which they can be implemented. We will initiate it and help in this. It’s important that these are not only separate courses. I always say: it is necessary to teach children to be honest not only in one subject, but it in each of them. We cannot simply teach children formulas, create a kind of soap bubble around them, from which the child will sooner or later get out. It can’t be like that! It is like a thread with a needle, which must pass through all layers of fabric,» – said the head of the education department.
