Luhansk Region
Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled the attacks of the occupiers near Bilohorivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, the districts of Novoselyvske, Stelmakhivka, and Andriivka came under fire from the Russians.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Makiivka, Ploshanka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka, Kreminna, and Dibrova.

Donetsk Region
34 shellings per day (airstrike, Hrad anti-aircraft missile defense system, artillery, tank, mortars). Avdiivka (residential sector) was shelled; Kurakhove (surroundings of the settlement); town Velyka Novosilka (residential sector); Vremivka (residential sector); Druzhba village (residential sector); Karlivka village (reservoir); Klishchiivka village (residential sector); Ivanivske village (club building); Novyi Komar village (residential sector); Orlivka village (residential sector); Severne village (residential sector); village of Tonenke (residential sector). Kharkiv Region
The enemy continued to fire artillery and mortar fire along the entire contact line. The areas of Veterinarne, Krasne, Lukyantsi, Neskuchne, Staritsa, Ohirtseve, Gatyshche, Vovchansk, Rybalkine, Bily Kolodyaz, Nesterne, Zemlianki, Novomlynsk, Bolohivka, Kamianka and Dvorichna areas were shelled.
In the Kupiansk direction, the districts of Kislivka, Berestove, Kotlyarivka, Vyshneve, Ivanovka were affected by fire.
In the city of Kupiansk, as a result of a missile attack on civilian objects yesterday afternoon, the Kupiansk Motor Vehicle Vocational College was hit, previously by a S-300 missile. The central storey building was completely destroyed.
In the village of Dvorichna, farm buildings and a private house were damaged by shelling.
At least 4 private houses were damaged in Vilcha village of Chuhuiv district.
In the village Kivsharivka of the Kupiansk district is a hit on the territory of the Kupiansk Territorial Medical Association. A 51-year-old man, a paramedic, was injured.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
Nikopol again suffered from enemy fire. The Russians shelled the area three times during the night with heavy artillery–and in the Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities. No victims. Several houses and several power lines were damaged.
Zaporizhzhia Region
During the past day, the occupiers shelled the civilian infrastructure in the area of the settlements of Orikhiv, Gulyaipole, Charivne, Zaliznychne, Bilohirya, Shcherbaki, Chervone, Gulyaipilske, Bilenke, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaki, Novodanilivka, Malynivka, Dobropillia, Preobrazhenka, Temyrivka, Poltavka, Shcherbaki, Olhivske, Novoandriivka, Zelene, Mala Tokmachka, Stepove, Kamianske, Pavlivka, Plavni.
22 reports were received about the destruction of houses (apartments) of citizens and infrastructure facilities as a result of shelling by the Russian Federation. Details regarding the consequences are being clarified.
Mykolayiv Region
Yesterday, January 17, in the afternoon, the enemy made artillery strikes on the Kutsurub community. The hit was recorded outside the settlement. There were no damages or injuries.
Also yesterday evening, there were anti-aircraft missile strikes on the water area and the settlement of Ochakiv community, as a result of which several private residential buildings and an apartment building were damaged. No victims.
Kherson Region
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the occupiers do not stop terrorizing the civilian population. In particular, Antonivka and Kherson were shelled by rocket launchers, and civilians were injured. The enemy fired at a critical infrastructure enterprise in Kherson.
Yesterday, January 17, Russian troops shelled the management of the utility company. Shells damaged the administration building, the machine and assembly halls, and the oxygen station. There are no casualties.
Also, as a result of the Russian shelling, the Kherson Academic Regional Puppet Theater and the city printing house were hit. A total of 4 people were injured in the Kherson region during the day due to strikes by the Russian army.

Monastyrskyi, Lubkovych, Yenin and 15 others died, including children.
In the morning of January 18, a plane crash occurred in Brovary, Kyiv region. At least 16 people, three of them children, died due to the fall of the helicopter of the State Emergency Service. Among the victims were the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine: Minister Denys Monastyrskyi, State Secretary Yurii Lubkovych and First Deputy Minister Yevhenii Yenin.
The tragedy was reported to the National Police of Ukraine.
The helicopter flew on a business trip «to one of the hot spots where hostilities are currently ongoing,» Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko said during the briefing. The head of the National Police Department in the Kharkiv region noted that he had to meet a helicopter in the Kharkiv region.
Around 8:30 in the morning, local residents wrote about a powerful explosion in Brovary on the Internet. It turned out that the rotorcraft of the emergency service fell in the area of a kindergarten and a residential building in the city. A strong fire broke out there.
The State Emergency Service clarified that the ES-225 rotorcraft (flight number 54) crashed. There were nine people on board, all of them died: six members of the operative group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as three members of the crew of the State Emergency Service – Oleksandr Vasylenko, Kostiantyn Kovalenko, Ivan Kasyanov.
At the time of the tragedy, children and employees of the institution were in the kindergarten where the fire broke out. About 29 wounded, including 15 children. 9 of the 16 victims were on board the rotorcraft.
The victims are provided with the necessary assistance. All emergency services are on site. Debris analysis is ongoing.
During the fall, the rotorcraft damaged a kindergarten, glazed a 14-story residential building and three cars.
