Donetsk Region
The Russians fired on the entire front line from Mariinka to the Lyman community. During the day, 27 residential buildings and 8 buildings of civil infrastructure were damaged.
In the Mariinka community, the occupiers fired on a school in Yelyzavetivka. Krasnohorivka came under mortar fire; most of the city was without electricity. The Avdiivka Coke Plant and residential areas of the city, as well as New York and Sukha Balka, came under fire again.
In the Svitlodar direction, the Russians damaged the power supply to Novoluhansk, but specialists have already restored it.
During the day, 3 people died and 4 others were injured in the region.
Luhansk Region
During the day, the occupiers destroyed about 50 houses: in Lysychansk – 23 houses, in Privillya – 16, in Severodonetsk – 5. There were air strikes on the Hirske and Popasna communities.
The Russians also hit the school and the Azot association – there was a fire and the fire was extinguished. In Lysychansk, a coal bunker caught fire at a mine. At least six people are known to have died yesterday.
Mykolayiv Region
In the evening the suburbs of Mykolayiv fired from jet systems of volley fire «Tornado». There are no destructions, victims and victims.
The Shyrokiv community was also shelled day and night. The shelling was outside the settlements. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties.
Odesa Region
In the afternoon of May 21, the occupiers fired three missiles at one of the districts of the region, in the evening – one strike at the infrastructure. There are injuries, no victims.
Kherson Region
The fighting continues. In the morning, explosions and shelling were heard almost throughout the region. Locals heard the launch of rockets.
Villages are on the verge of a humanitarian crisis. The occupiers are not allowed to leave and enter the Kherson region, only through the occupied Crimea.
Kharkiv Region
The occupiers hit Derhachi, Mala Danylivka and Chuhuiv district – rescuers put out fires in private households.
The occupiers fired a rocket at the Palace of Culture in Lozova. The building was almost completely destroyed. 7 people were injured, including an 11-year-old child. A total of 20 people have been injured in the Kharkiv region over the past 24 hours.
In the evening, as a result of a Russian munition strike, market pavilions in the Kyiv district were on fire in Kharkiv. At night, the occupiers fired on the Zolochiv community and burned houses.

Mykhailo Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the President’s Office, commented on an editorial in The New York Times entitled «The war in Ukraine is getting harder and America is not ready.» The article claims that the victory of Ukraine, and therefore the return of all Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia since 2014, is an unrealistic goal. Because Putin cannot afford to back down, and he has nuclear weapons. Instead, Podoliak stressed that Ukraine was not going to «trade its sovereignty.»
The war in Ukraine is entering its final phase, where the Ukrainian army is tasked with liberating the occupied territories. Russia wants to move to a protracted phase of the war, but this is extremely unprofitable for Ukraine. This was stated by Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podoliak.

«Stop raping us»: Femen activist supports Ukraine

The Cannes Film Festival kicked off on May 17 on the Cote d’Azur in France. This year’s event actively supports Ukraine and includes in its program many works by Ukrainian directors, and on the opening day, President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the public.
However, for many years of its existence, this event is also a platform for various protests, mostly political. This year, on May 20, a half-naked activist of the public movement Femen took to the red carpet in support of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian flag was painted on the girl’s chest, and her underwear and legs were painted red, symbolizing people raped by Russian soldiers in Ukraine. The inscription on the body said, «Stop raping us.» Thus, the activist tried to draw the world’s attention to what is happening in Ukraine.
