Donetsk Region
The occupiers fired from small arms, tanks, artillery, mortars, missiles, Hrad MLRS in the town of Avdiivka and Kurakhove, Ocheretino and New York towns, and the village of Lastochkino. 5 civilians were injured in one day.
35 objects were damaged: 24 – private houses, 3 high-rise buildings, a kindergarten, a school, administrative buildings and industrial buildings. The region remains without gas, partly without electricity and water supply.
Luhansk Region
Assault operations and street fights in Severodonetsk. The occupiers fired at mortars, artillery and rocket-propelled grenades at Zolote-4 and Vrubivka. 25 houses were destroyed.
Two people were killed and two were injured yesterday. One woman was injured in Lysychansk and hospitalized in Chernivtsi.
Kharkiv Region
Kharkiv was shelled at night, no one was injured. Garage cooperatives, a supermarket, and non-residential premises were on fire.
Kharkiv and Chuhuiv districts were shelled in the region. Yesterday 4 people died, including one in Kharkiv, 11 more were injured.
Mykolayiv Region
At night it was fired at Mykolayiv. Information on the consequences is being clarified. And on June 7, the occupiers fired on the village of Zalissia, killing two people.
Kherson Region
The situation in the region is called critical. As a result of the fighting, many houses and infrastructure were damaged, and civilians were killed and seriously injured in the shelling. The number of victims and dead is not named.
The situation is steadily difficult in the Kalinov, Velykooleksandrivska, Vysokopilska, and Novovorontsovska communities, where hostilities continue. The regional administration says people sit in basements and cellars almost constantly. It is almost impossible to leave and enter the occupied region, only through the occupied Crimea.

The ex-chancellor gave her first interview on the occasion of the publication of a collection of her speeches in one of Berlin’s theaters. Almost all questions concerned Russia’s war against Ukraine. Merkel strongly condemned Putin and his attack on our state. In recent months, Merkel has realized that Russia is preparing an attack on Ukraine. However, she did not try to avert this by stopping Nord Stream 2, but of course by dialogue with Putin.
«I remember with a heavy heart the summer of 2021, when Biden met with Putin, and I and President Macron believed that there should be a dialogue from Europe as well. In the summer of 2021, Biden met with Putin, and I also met with Manuel. Because I already felt that the Minsk process had reached a stalemate. But we could not agree to Putin’s invitation to join the European Union, and then I understood, everyone knows that you are leaving office soon. And a few years later, I would definitely sell this solution,» she said.

Merkel cannot blame herself for her mistakes regarding Russia and Ukraine. The ex-Chancellor still believes that she blocked Ukraine’s approach to NATO in 2008 correctly so as not to provoke Russia. She describes the 2008 Ukraine as a country without political unity and corruption, where freedom is dictated by oligarchs.
Merkel also does not regret the Minsk agreements, which, she admits, were largely directed against Ukraine. However, the Chancellor is convinced that it was the Minsk agreements that stopped the Great War and gave Ukraine 7 years of development and strengthening of the army.
Today, Merkel is fascinated by the struggle of Ukrainians and their president.
«I can’t imagine, but I often think about how President Zelensky feels. I know him. It is not only Russia that has misjudged its ability to seize Kyiv quickly. We also asked Zelensky to leave the country, and he said – I should not be taken away, we need weapons. And it was so clear, it earned me a lot of respect,» she said.
