President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, by his decree, awarded American billionaire and owner of SpaceX, Ilona Mask, the Order of Freedom. The corresponding decree was published on the President's website on August 26.

We remind you that earlier, The Atlantic, citing associates of former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, reported that Mask currently does not agree to allow Ukraine to use Starlink for strikes on the territory of Russia. According to the publication, he believes that Kyiv should already negotiate peace with the Russian Federation.

Order of Freedom is a state award of Ukraine, established to honor citizens for outstanding and special merits in establishing the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, consolidating Ukrainian society, developing democracy, socio-economic and political reforms, defending the constitutional rights and freedoms of man and citizen.
