This morning, September 30, during another massive shelling of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, a Russian drone violated Moldova's airspace, after which it fell and detonated. This was reported reported by the Moldovan police.

According to law enforcement officers, around 05:40, the first report was received from eyewitnesses about a drone flying at a low altitude over Bender. At 05:43, the drone fell outside the village of Hîrbovăț, Căușeni District, and exploded. According to preliminary information, no one was injured as a result of the incident.

Bomb disposal experts and police special units are working at the crash site. Experts are examining the debris to establish the exact type of UAV and clarify all the circumstances of the border violation.

We remind you that this is far from the first such case. And over the past month, Moldova's airspace has been particularly frequently violated by Russian drones during attacks on Ukraine:

On September 9, during an attack on the Ukrainian border crossing point "Starokozache" near the Moldovan border, two Ukrainians were killed, and among the three wounded was a Moldovan citizen.

On September 12, 14, 18, 19, 21, and 24, the country's authorities repeatedly recorded UAV flights, temporarily closed part of the airspace, and found debris, including a drone marked "Geran-4" in the Briceni District.

On September 26, border guards found debris of another drone in the Ștefan-Vodă District.
