A statue of US President Donald Trump has been installed in the European Parliament building in Strasbourg (France). This is reported by reported DW.
It is noted that the 2.5-meter satirical statue by Danish artist Jens Galschiøt is called "The Orange Plague" and depicts the US leader naked, with a long golden scepter in his hand, sitting on the shoulders of a smaller man.
The artist said it is covered in 23-carat gold. The statue is also known as "King of Injustice".

Leaflets lie next to the statue, explaining that the "King of Injustice" "sits on the back of a person" who is drowning under the burden. The author accuses Trump of hindering efforts to combat climate change.
The artist depicted the president as naked as an allusion to Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Emperor's New Clothes".
The statue has been standing for several days at the intersection connecting the two parliament buildings and is scheduled to remain there until today.
The exhibition is not an official EU initiative. Left-wing MEP from Denmark Per Clausen, who invited the artist, said he was not worried about Trump's possible reaction. According to him, if the US President is so "thin-skinned" that he cannot accept this statue, then he has no place on the world stage.
Previously, the statue was exhibited in other European cities, as well as at the UN climate conference COP30 in Belem, Brazil.
