The occupiers are preparing a large-scale falsification in Mariupol – they plan to gather in one place the bodies of local residents killed by the Russians and present them as mass victims of Ukrainian troops. This was reported by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine.

The main task of Russian propaganda today is to divert the attention of the audience, both international and domestic, from the atrocities they committed near Kyiv. Scenarios of new fakes have already been developed for this purpose, and Russian propagandists are preparing the appropriate basis.

In particular, lies about alleged crimes of Ukrainian defenders of Mariupol are being actively «thrown» into the information field. To this end, false theses have recently started circulating that «Ukrainians use civilians as human shields.» In fact, these are the Russian troops who are destroying Mariupol and its people, keeping the city under a blockade for a month, preventing evacuation and humanitarian aid, while constantly attacking it from all sides, from the Sea in particular. As a result, in early March, the city was already forced to bury the dead in mass graves.

We will add that earlier, it was reported that Russia has intensified its efforts to attract units of its troops based in the Transnistrian region of Moldova to provocations and demonstrations on the border with Ukraine.
