The victims of the Russian chemical attack in Mariupol are in a relatively satisfactory condition. A serviceman who defends the city under blockade recorded a video in which he and other affected reported about their condition, the Telegram channel of the Azov regiment stated.
According to the defender, the contact of civilians with the substance was minimal, as the lesion occurred at a certain distance from the location of people. At the same time, the servicemen were a little closer to its epicentre. The complete investigation of the scene is currently impossible due to enemy fire, as the Russians continue to pursue tactics of concealing their own crimes.
«Surprisingly, regardless of the thousands of civillians killed by Russians in Mariupol, everyone began to talk about us only after the chemical attack. But the city has daily been attacked by aircraft, navy, heavy flamethrower systems, artillery, and phosphorus munition,» – he states.
A serviceman who recorded a video is in a moderate condition. The other two are under constant medical supervision. An elderly woman has the worst condition among the affected civilians.
«There was white smoke in the factory. But at once, we got sick. Tinnitus, tachycardia, and weakness, you fall down and can’t do anything. We barely reached here [to the shelter] from above, there were 10 metres of distance. Mother lost consciousness and was reanimated three times,» – another man affected by the attack narrates.
In its statement, the «Azov» Telegram channel adds that the main symptoms among the victims are facial hyperaemia, high arterial pressure, dryness and heartburn in the oropharynx, mucous membranes of the eyes.
It’s already known that the enemy used unknown poisonous substances or potent poisonous substances, mainly with a suffocating effect. However, due to being in a complete blockade, their toxicological analysis is impossible. At the same time, the main task is to monitor the condition of personnel and the possible consequences of poisoning.
