Luhansk Region
During August 18, eight enemy attacks were repelled. Most of them were directed to the Bakhmut direction. The assault is organized, including, from the villages and cities of Luhansk region. The Russians involved aviation in eight settlements. Last night alone, barrel and jet artillery were used 16 times, targeting settlements and fortifications of our military.
Donetsk Region
Five dead and 10 wounded civilians per day. Shelling – artillery, mortars, tanks, Unguided air missile, «Hurricane» anti-aircraft missile defense system. Zalizne, Zelenopillia, Avdiivka, Toretsk, Maksimilianivka, Druzhba, Mykolayivka, Pryshyb, Bakhmut, Ozaryanivka, Oleksandropil were fired upon. Three high-rise buildings, nine private residential buildings, a garage, three civilian cars, one official car, and a store were damaged.
Around 5:00 a.m. shelling of Kramatorsk. The building of the Kramatorsk Technological Technical College was partially damaged. Shelling of the Avdiivka, Maryinka, Ocheretyn and Sviatohirsk communities, in particular the villages of Tetyanivka and Pryshyb. The region remains without gas and partly without water and electricity. Mandatory evacuation of the population continues.
Kharkiv Region
At 4:38, the occupiers shelled Kharkiv with rockets. There are hits in the Industrial, Kyiv, and Osnovyanskyi districts. According to preliminary data, one woman died. One of the rockets hit the building of the educational institution. There is also a hit to the ground, an industrial facility and a private residential building. There are no previous victims.
Chuhuiv, Kharkiv, Bohodukhiv districts were shelled by artillery during the day. Residential buildings and commercial buildings were hit. In the Zolochiv community, the club premises, the library and wheat in the field were on fire. A man was injured in Pechenihy due to shelling.
Sumy Region
Yesterday, the Russians carried out seven shelling of three communities. 93 arrivals were recorded. No victims, but there is destruction. As a result of shelling of the Bilopillia community with barrel artillery, a non-residential building and school premises were damaged.
From 2:20 p.m., there was shelling from 120 mm mortars in the Myropil community – 15 hits. The shelling continued at 17:30. As a result of the shelling, civilian infrastructure was damaged. Today, at 6:00 a.m., mortar shelling of the Bilopol community began. The consequences are clarified.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
Russian troops shelled three districts. In Kryvyi Rih, they hit two communities – Apostolove and Zelenodolsk: a man died in Apostolove, and no one was injured in Zelenodolsk. There is housing destruction in both communities. In the Synelnykove district, the Mezhova community was fired at from the Tornado S anti-aircraft missile system. A child is injured. Several houses were damaged.
In Nikopol, the city center was shelled. Up to 20 high-rise buildings, eight shops, several institutions and lyceums were damaged. People were not injured.
Mykolayiv Region
Yesterday in Mykolayiv, the facilities of the port infrastructure were again attacked. There are no casualties. Around 04:00, the city was shelled by S-300 missiles. There are no casualties.
In the Mykolayiv district during the day – enemy shelling in the village Halytsynove. As a result of being hit by the cluster ammunition of the «Smerch» MLRS, several residential buildings were damaged, the building of the fire department was destroyed, and a fire truck was destroyed. Three people were injured.
The Shyroke community was shelled in the Bashtan district yesterday. The community was also shelled from 22:00 to 04:00. The hits were outside the population centers. There are no casualties. Settlements of the Berezneguvate community, located on the demarcation line, remain under constant fire. Information on victims and damage is being clarified.
Kherson Region
During the day, hostilities continued on almost the entire territory of the Kherson region. Anti-personnel fragmentation mines (POM-2) were found in the de-occupied territories, which can cause damage without touching it. In many communities of the region, there are many mined territories, the tense situation remains in the villages bordering the neighboring regions and through which the Ingulets River passes.
Residents of the region continue to demonstrate their pro-Ukrainian views. Russians are forced to import young people from other regions to paint Ukrainian symbols in occupied Kherson. Residents of the region have been without Ukrainian communications, Internet and television for more than two and a half months.

Negotiations with the Russian Federation
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, said that dialogue with Russia is possible only after the complete withdrawal of the occupying forces from Ukrainian territory.
Meanwhile, Erdogan said he wants to resume talks between Ukraine and Russia, as was the case in Istanbul in March.
«Personally, I believe that the war will eventually end at the negotiating table. Actually, Mr. Zelensky and Guterres agree on this issue. The whole point is to determine the shortest and fairest way to the negotiating table,» the Turkish leader noted.
Zaporizhzhia NPP
President Zelensky said that Russia should immediately withdraw its troops from the Zaporizhzhia NPP and stop provocations and attacks.
According to him, if Putin does not allow the IAEA to the ZNPP, «it means that you can simply throw the entire corpus of international documents on nuclear and radiation safety into the trash.»
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres agreed that the Russian military should be withdrawn from the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
«Common sense must prevail to avoid any actions that could endanger the physical integrity and safety of the nuclear plant. The facility must not be used as part of any military operation,» Guterres stressed.
Erdogan, in turn, expressed concern about the situation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP and warned against a repeat of the Chernobyl disaster.
Prisoners
During the meeting, Guterres told Zelensky about the UN fact-finding mission in Olenivka «where Russia committed a cynical terrorist attack against Ukrainian prisoners of war.»
Zelensky asked Guterres to investigate «the issue of compliance by the Russian side with the agreements reached in the context of the withdrawal of Ukrainian defenders from Azovstal».
The head of state called on the UN Secretary General to use all mechanisms of the organization to return home Ukrainian prisoners of war.
In turn, Guterres said that a representative of Brazil will be appointed as the head of the fact-finding mission in Olenivka.
According to him, the UN is currently working on obtaining safe access to the pre-trial detention center area in Olenivka.
Grain
In the conversations with Erdogan and Guterres, it was also about the export of grain from Ukrainian ports.
During the negotiations with Erdogan, the parties discussed, in particular, the improvement of the grain initiative and the theft of grain by the Russian military in the temporarily occupied territories.
In turn, Guterres called for increased exports of food and fertilizers from Ukraine and Russia.
Pseudo-referendums
President Zelenskyy called on his interlocutors to voice the strictest possible position regarding Russia’s planned pseudo-referendums in the occupied territory.
«Any pseudo-referendum will be a blow to the face of the international community,» he is convinced.
Reconstruction
President Erdogan said that Turkey is ready to help in the reconstruction of Ukraine. In particular, Ankara is ready to take under patronage the reconstruction of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between Ukraine and Turkey. It is assumed that Turkish business and government structures will be able to: develop specific reconstruction projects, provide consulting and technical assistance.
