Luhansk Region
During the day, the enemy launched 87 attacks (404 shells) on the positions of our troops, mortars – 33, MLRS – 10, artillery – 36, tanks – 11, UAV – two, aviation – five. Yesterday, the enemy shelled Novoselivske, Dibrova and Bilohorivka. The situation in the region remains difficult.
Donetsk Region
During the day, the enemy carried out 20 shellings, using the S-300 air defense system, airstrikes (the type of missiles has not been established), the Hrad anti-aircraft missile system, and artillery.
The occupiers shelled Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Kostyantynivka, Krasnohorivka, the village of Vremivka, the village of Hryhorivka, the village of Karlivka, the village of Lastochkine, and the village of Novoukrainka. Six residential buildings, two of them multi-apartment buildings, six civilian cars, two trailers, and farm buildings were damaged. In one day, three people were injured in the region.
Sumy Region
The enemy carried out six shellings of the border at night and in the morning. Yunakiv, Myropillia, Seredyno-Buda and Znob-Novhorod territorial communities came under fire. As a result of shelling, a private house in the village of Znob-Novhorod was damaged.
Yesterday, during the day, the Russians carried out six shellings of border communities. More than 54 explosions were recorded. Seredyno-Buda, Znob-Novhorod and Esman communities came under fire. Three artillery explosions were recorded in the Seredyno-Buda community. As a result of the shelling, a private household was damaged.
Also, from the territory of the Russian Federation, ten rockets were launched from a helicopter at Seredyno-Buda. As a result of the airstrike, three private residences and a gas station were damaged. Data on destruction and victims are being clarified.
Kharkiv Region
In the Slobozhansk direction, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks on the settlements of Chervona Zorya, Veterynarne, Strilecha, Hlyboke, Krasne, Vovchansk, Chernyakove, and Loshakove. Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Lyman Pershyi, Kislivka and Berestove came under fire in the Kupiansk direction. Kupyansk was under attack yesterday.
The enemy was firing from «Hrad» salvo rocket systems. A garage on the territory of the Kupiansk Territorial Medical Association and a company car were damaged. At least 14 private houses, farm buildings and a 5-story residential building were also damaged. In the village Bohuslavka, Izyum district, as a result of shelling, a private house and an outbuilding were damaged. No casualties.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
The enemy attacked with rockets at night and in the morning. Seven of them were shot down by the Eastern air command. But there are also hits in the Pavlohrad district. Previously, 25 people were injured. Three of them are children. An industrial enterprise was damaged in Pavlohrad, the fire was extinguished by rescuers. In the residential area, 19 high-rise buildings, 25 private houses, six schools and pre-school education institutions, and five shops were mutilated. There is also destruction in the communities of the district.
Almost 40 residential buildings were broken into in Verbky, two in Yuriivka. A school was damaged in Mezhyrich. Currently, all services are working at the «arrival» locations. Yesterday, during the day, the enemy hit Nikopol twice with heavy artillery. A 48-year-old local resident died. A 46-year-old woman and an 80-year-old man were injured. In the city, six high-rise buildings and the same number of private houses, farm buildings, two gas pipelines, and a power line were mutilated.
Zaporizhzhia Region
The enemy is hitting settlements near the front line. Gulyaipole, Orikhiv, Kamianske and a dozen other villages were hit. The terrorists hit the civilian infrastructure 47 times with artillery, carried out three airstrikes, and attacked three times with UAVs. There are new destructions of residential buildings and utility networks, but fortunately, people were not injured. The data is being verified.
Kherson Region
The enemy fired 39 rounds (163 shells) during the day: three by anti-aircraft fire, 10 by artillery, 19 by mortars, six by UAVs, and one by aircraft. Of these, the enemy launched eight attacks on Kherson (41 projectiles): one MLRS, three artillery, and four mortars. The occupiers targeted the districts of 16 settlements in the region and the building of a state institution in the center of Kherson. One person died and three others, including a child, were injured. The enemy attacked Bilozerka, targeting residential buildings with fire. Ukraine understands that there is no other choice but to launch a major spring or summer offensive, the Western press emphasizes.
The Ukrainian army is not ready for a counteroffensive due to problems with the supply of ammunition, but the special operation will take place.
The Times writes about this with reference to the British military, who communicate with representatives of the Armed Forces.
The publication writes that Western partners do not have time to supply Ukrainian forces with ammunition due to their speed of use. The Ukrainian army spends more 155 mm shells per month than the United States produces in a year. Russia also wastes more ammunition than it can produce.
Despite this, the Ukrainian military is optimistic and motivated to liberate the occupied territories during the upcoming counteroffensive. Journalists note that Ukraine understands that there is no other choice but to launch a major spring or summer offensive.
The second problem that the Pentagon is aware of is the superiority of the Russians in the air. Ukraine does not have enough air defense equipment, and therefore the Russian aviation can feel more confident. Because of this, the USA does not believe the estimates that the Armed Forces will be able to recapture all the occupied territories. American intelligence suggests that Ukraine will be able to regain only a small part of the occupied territories.
