Luhansk Region
Over the past night, the Russians launched seven missile strikes, shelled the positions of our military 11 times with barrel artillery and rocket salvo systems, and tried to organize tank offensives five times. Also, on August 21, five massive enemy attacks were repelled, and battles continued in six other directions.
In addition, the occupiers continue to resort to terrorist methods of warfare, carrying out attacks on civilian and critical infrastructure. In the past day alone, airstrikes have been recorded near three settlements on the borders of Luhansk region and Donetsk region.
Donetsk Region
Two dead in a day. During the night, there were rocket attacks on Toretsk and Kostyantynivka. Houses were damaged in Toretsk, a school in Kostyantynivka. During the day Avdiivka, Chasiv Yar, Kostyantynivka Tsukuryne, Ry-Oleksandrivka, Pivnichne, Pryshyb, Markovo were shelled.. 19 private residential buildings, a school, farm buildings, and a mill were damaged.
Kharkiv Region
Shelling of Kharkiv from MLRS late in the evening and rocket strikes at night. The private sector and infrastructure facilities were damaged. Two people were injured. Over the past day, there have been shellings in the Lozova district. As a result of the shelling, grass, branches, and trees burned. Without victims and victims. This morning – shelling of Bohodukhiv district. One person was injured.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
An attack on three districts – Nikopol, Kryvyi Rih and Synelnykove. Nikopol was shelled three times. More than 40 shells arrived. Four are injured, two of them are in the hospital. In the city, up to 50 houses, a kindergarten, shops, pharmacies, markets, a court and a bus station were damaged. Several houses were destroyed. Up to 2,000 people are without electricity.
In the Kryvyi Rih district, the Zelenodolsk community was shelled, without destruction or loss. In the Synelnykove district, enemy rockets destroyed an agricultural enterprise, a school and a cultural center. Information on the dead and injured is being ascertained.
Mykolayiv Region
Tonight, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Mykolayiv was shelled, as a result of which a cafe caught fire, and it is currently known that the territory of the enterprise was hit. Previously, there were no casualties. Information on the consequences of the destruction is being clarified.
Yesterday evening, the enemy shelled the city of Bashtanka and hit the private sector, as a result of which the roof of a two-story residential building and a car caught fire. After the fire, the building cannot be restored. About 10 houses were also damaged. One child was slightly injured.
Yesterday, during the day, there were shellings outside the settlements on the territory of the Shyroke community. The hits were in the already destroyed Center for the provision of administrative services and residential buildings. There are no casualties. Also during the day there was shelling of the village’s surroundings. Nova Oleksandrivka of the Ingul community. There are no casualties. Shelling of the territory and nearby settlements of the Berezneguvate community continues. Information on victims and damage is being clarified.
Kherson Region
In general, the situation in the region remains tense, more and more shelling and explosions are recorded every day. The situation is critical in Kalynivka, Velyka Oleksandrivka, Vysokopillia, Novovorontsovka communities, as well as in Nova Kakhovka and neighboring villages. Residents of these settlements report numerous fires, destroyed infrastructure and broken houses. Reports of abductions continue to arrive daily. Recently, the pressure on educators has increased several times.

The head of the special committee on defense of the House of Commons of Great Britain, Tobias Ellwood, said that in the event of a radiation leak due to Russia’s attack on the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, NATO should use Article 5 of its charter.
It provides for the principle of collective defense. That is, an attack on any of the member states of the Alliance is considered as an attack on all of them. And the radiation that can spread through Ukraine in the event of an attack on the ZaNPP will also affect some NATO countries.
Tobias Ellwood wrote about it on his Twitter.
«ANY intentional damage that would cause a potential radiation leak at a Ukrainian nuclear reactor would be a violation of Article 5 of NATO,» Ellwood said.
In turn, a member of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Adam Kinzinger, supported the British and noted that such actions of the Russian military immediately affect the NATO charter.
«Really, it’s not even up for debate. Any radiation leak will kill people in NATO countries. That automatically triggers Article 5,» Kinzinger wrote.
