Donetsk Region

Chernihiv Region
Over the past day, there have been six shellings, five of them in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district, and one in the Chernihiv district. Shelling from artillery and mortars. Without victims of destruction. In the afternoon of August 24, in the northern part of the Chernihiv district, air defense forces shot down 2 Russian Orlan-10 drones. At night, the Novhorod-Siverskyi district was shelled by artillery. Without losses and destruction.
Kyiv Region
At night, the enemy launched a rocket attack on one of the communities of the Vyshhorod district. Two arrivals were recorded. As of this morning, there are no victims or wounded among civilians. There are no fires and destruction of residential buildings or infrastructure facilities. Survey of the attacked area continues.
Sumy Region
Yesterday in the Esman community there were seven «arrivals» from mortars, in the afternoon – four more from barrel artillery. Znob-Novhorod community: five mortar explosions at noon. Bilopillia community: after 18:40 mortar shelling of 16 parishes. There are no human losses or destruction. The night was quiet.
Poltava Region
The night is calm. The previous afternoon, the occupiers launched four rocket attacks on the military infrastructure in the city of Myrhorod. There are no casualties or injuries.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
They shot all night. In four districts of the region. At night, there was another attack on Synelnykove district. The rocket landed in the Velyka Mykhailivka community. Eight victims, among them three children. All the injured are in the hospital.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing in the Chaplyne village of the Synelnykove district. After yesterday’s attack, there are already more than 20 dead, among them two boys aged 6 and 11. 50 people injured. The police have opened criminal proceedings regarding the violation of the laws and customs of war.
The Nikopol district was shelled three times during the night with «Hrad» and heavy artillery. No losses. «Tornadoes» and «Hurricanes» covered the Kryvyi Rih region. They hit Apostolove and Shyroke communities and Kryvyi Rih. In the village of Koshove, a power line was cut. Several buildings were damaged in Kryvyi Rih. People were not injured.
Mykolayiv Region
Yesterday evening, the city of Mykolayiv was attacked by rockets of the Smerch salvo fire system. The blow is aimed at the port infrastructure. There are no casualties. The scale of the destruction is being clarified. At night, Mykolayiv was again shelled. According to preliminary information, the enemy struck with missiles of the S-300 type. It is known about hitting the private residential sector. As a result, a private house was set on fire. Several houses were also damaged. Previously, there were no victims or victims. Information on the consequences of the destruction is being clarified.
Yesterday, the enemy also fired at a private agricultural enterprise in the village of Kotlyareve. As a result of the fire, agricultural machinery and the roof of the workshop were destroyed. There are no casualties. Also during the day, the village Nova Mykolayivka was under enemy fire. There are no casualties.
From the evening until five in the morning – shelling outside the settlements of the Shyroke community. The village Chervona Dolyna was also shelled in the evening. The hits were in the agricultural building of households. There are no casualties. Shelling of the Berezneguvate community continues. Thus, as a result of enemy shelling in the morning of August 25, a residential building was destroyed in Berezneguvate. There are no casualties. Also, during the past day, the surrounding territories of the villages of Lepetykha and Kavkaz were shelled.
Kherson Region
Residents of Kherson Oblast were able to demonstrate their pro-Ukrainian position on Ukrainian Flag Day. In particular, greeting cards from the «People’s Resistance of Ukraine» appeared in Tavriysk, Kakhovka, and Nova Kakhovka. In Kherson, one of the monuments was wrapped in the flag of Ukraine. The pressure on the residents of the region is increasing every day. Currently, the Main Directorate of Intelligence has published a manual for agitators in the temporarily occupied territories, who must convince local residents that the Russian military are not murderers and looters.

Aggressor Russia continues to form new «volunteer units» for the war in Ukraine.
American analysts at the Institute for the Study of War believe that most Russian so-called «battalions» will likely be the size of reinforced companies.
This is stated in the ISW report.
It is noted that these enemy special formations are not described as battalion-tactical groups and are not structured as Battalion tactical group. Moreover, «battalions» have nothing to do with the conventional combat power of the battalion-tactical groups that invaded Ukraine on February 24.
«It is not clear how they will be used on the battlefield if they are not assembled with each other or with the remnants of already deployed Battalion tactical groups,» ISW experts emphasize.
The Institute for the Study of War also reports that after a number of reports about the formation of the «Sobyan Regiment» in Moscow, the recruitment was covered up. «Probably to avoid criticism,» the experts of the Institute concluded.
