Lviv sound engineer Volodymyr Punko became part of the team that received one of the most prestigious music awards in the world – the Latin Grammy Awards. The album Y el canto de todas won in the "Best Instrumental Album" category, as reported by the LMR.
The award ceremony took place in Las Vegas and brought together leading musicians and industry representatives from around the world. The award is presented by the Latin Recording Academy – a community that unites performers, producers, sound engineers, and songwriters and determines the winners by voting.
The album Y el canto de todas was created by Spanish guitarist Rafael Serrallet and the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra. The recording took place in Lviv.
Volodymyr Punko worked on the project as a sound engineer and was responsible for the entire technical cycle – from recording to final mastering.

"I have a very responsible task – the full technical and creative production cycle: recording, selecting takes, editing, mixing, mastering. And during air raids under rocket-filled skies, I am grateful for the trust. Long live music!", the sound engineer said.
The album was recorded in Lviv during the full-scale war in Ukraine, which adds special symbolism to the project on the international stage. As a result, the team received two awards – for the recording engineer and for the music producer.
The project is dedicated to the music of female composers from Latin America – Violeta Parra, Chabuca Granda, María Luisa Anido, Consuelo Velázquez, and others. Their works have found a new sound in the guitar and orchestra version.
