Luhansk Region
The enemy fired 96 shots (437 shells) at the positions of our troops, mortars – 34, MLRS – eight, artillery – 33, tanks – 12, UAVs – six, aviation – three. The Russians concentrated their offensive south of Dibrova, but were again unsuccessful. The Russians opened fire in the direction of Makiivka and Bilohorivka.
Donetsk Region
18 shellings were recorded in the Donetsk region during the day. 12 settlements were shelled: Kramatorsk, Avdiivka, Kostyantynivka, Bakhmut, Yasnohirka, Velyka Novosilka, Netaylove, Hannivka, Karlivka, Vremivka, Umanske. 33 residential buildings (of which 19 are multi-apartment buildings), a school, four hospital buildings, three power lines, a shop, and a gas pipeline were damaged. In the region: three wounded per day.
Sumy Region
At night and in the morning, the enemy carried out two shellings of the border, aiming at the settlements of Svesa and Nova Sloboda communities. Nine explosions were recorded. At night, the Russians carried out an airstrike with two guided air bombs on an educational institution and an enterprise in the village of Svesa.
In the morning, the enemy fired mortars on the territory of the Nova Sloboda community – seven explosions. In advance, without victims. The data is being verified.
Yesterday, during the day, the Russians carried out 19 shelling of the border communities: Bilopillia, Yunakiv, Vorozhbyanka, Myropillia, Seredyno-Buda, Hlukhiv, Znob-Novhorod, Shalyhyne, Esman, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda. 112 explosions were recorded. There is destruction. The information is being clarified.
Kharkiv Region
The enemy shelled the village with artillery. Bochkove, Chuhuiv district, private home ownership was damaged. During the day, the enemy shelled the settlements of Veterynarne, Vilkhivka, Hatyshche, Vovchansk and Potykhonove with artillery in the Slobozhansk direction. Krasne Pershe, Fiholivka, Novomlynsk, Lyman Pershyi, Kupiansk, Kislivka, Krokhmalne and Berestove were subjected to artillery and mortar attacks in the Kupiansk direction. In the village Huriiv Kozachok, Bohodukhiv district, as a result of shelling from an anti-aircraft missile, the premises of an agricultural enterprise were damaged.
Two apartment buildings and at least three private houses were damaged in Vilkhuvatka, Kupiansk district. As a result of shelling in Petropavlivka, Kupiansk district, two residential buildings were damaged, a 73-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized. A tractor blew up in the field between the villages of Verbivka and Vovchyi Yar in the Izyum district. Two men aged 39 and 47 died from their injuries.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
Defenders of the sky from the «Skhid» air command shot down seven UAVs. One Shahed-136 still made it out intact. The administrative building was damaged in Dnipro. A fire broke out. The fire has already been extinguished.
Residents of the city were not injured. Rescuers are still working at the site. The consequences of the attack are being clarified. Yesterday afternoon, the Russian army shelled the Nikopol district. Used drones and heavy artillery. It passed without casualties. Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovsk, and Marhanets communities came under enemy attack, in particular, Marhanets itself, as well as Nikopol. The administration building, a five-story building, three private residential buildings, and an outbuilding were damaged.
Zaporizhzhia Region
The enemy launched 82 attacks during the day: two missile strikes, three air strikes, four UAV attacks and 69 artillery strikes. Terrorists targeted the private sector in the regional center. There is destruction, nine injured residents received help on the spot, they did not need hospitalization. Settlements near the front survived several hours of shelling: Novoyakovlivka, Orikhiv, Hulyaipole. There was a lot of destruction in various communities: houses, property, social infrastructure and utility networks were on fire. People survived. Data on the consequences are being clarified.
Kherson Region
This morning Russians shelled a major shopping centre in Kherson city.
The enemy fired 106 rounds (485 shells) in 24 hours: 2 MLRS, 52 artillery, 33 mortars, 4 tanks, 14 UAVs, 1 aircraft. Of these, nine shellings (33 shells) were fired at Kherson: seven from artillery, two from mortars. The occupiers targeted the districts of 37 settlements in the region.
The Russians dropped two guided aerial bombs on the island near the village of Veletenske in the Bilozerka community. As a result of the Russian attack, eight people were injured: three people died, five were wounded. The Russians also shelled the village of Urozhaine of the Beryslav community, and a 17-year-old boy was injured. Our military took the victim to the nearest medical facility. Currently, doctors are providing him with the necessary assistance, the boy’s condition is satisfactory.
The enemy attacked the village of Kozatske of the Nova Kakhovka community. A 66-year-old man died as a result of the shelling. In the evening, enemy artillery also hit the Dnipro area of the Bilozerka community. A 78-year-old woman was injured, she was hospitalized in serious condition, doctors are fighting for the victim’s life. During the day in the region: four people were killed, seven (one of them a child) were injured.
51 people were evacuated from the de-occupied territory.

The number of Russian soldiers killed and wounded during their offensive in Ukraine has risen sharply in recent months.
In the US, it is assumed that the future counteroffensive of the Ukrainian army may turn into a «bloody massacre», since neither side is ready to give in.
This was reported by The Washington Post, citing sources in the government.
According to estimates released this week by the White House, the number of Russian soldiers killed and wounded in Ukraine has risen sharply in recent months, showing just how brutal the fighting has become. Since December alone, about 20,000 occupiers have died in battles, and another 80,000 have been wounded.
As the journalists write, the expected counteroffensive may increase the already staggering number of military casualties suffered on both sides of the war. According to the latest Western data, as of February 24, 2022, losses on the part of the Russian Federation and Ukraine may exceed 360,000 dead and wounded.
Rob Lee, a senior fellow at the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies, said Russian forces suffered heavy losses during the winter offensive in Vuhledar, Kreminnaya, Mariintka and elsewhere.
«When you attack, you tend to take more casualties,» he explained.
He fears that a Ukrainian counteroffensive may face similar obstacles and an increase in the number of Ukrainian military casualties.
