According to the «West» Air Command, four missile strikes took place in Lviv this morning. This was reported by the head of Military administration Maksym Kozytskyi on Telegram.
Three of the missiles targeted an object of military infrastructure (warehouses that were not used), and one hit a tire fitting. As a result of the hits, there were fires, which have already been completely extinguished at both sites. SES units are dismantling the blockages. Both objects are completely destroyed.
Unfortunately, there are dead and injured. As of this hour, 7 dead and 11 injured are known, among them one child. Three people are in critical condition, the child has minor injuries. Data on casualties are still subject to change.
Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi added:
«One of the missiles hit a civilian object – a tire fitting. Previously, 6 people died.
11 were injured, including 1 child. About 40 cars were damaged or destroyed. The shock wave shattered the windows of a nearby hotel. Evacuated Ukrainians live in it».
Due to the attack, Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi announced changes in several public transport routes to bypass the area of the Lviv railway station, namely 47a,10,16, 32, 51. Bus routes 6a, 11, 17 and a trolley bus route 32 are temporarily stopped.
Also, the railway company «Ukrzaliznytsia» approved that in Lviv, the enemy fired missiles near railway facilities. Currently, the situation at the station remains under control. Passengers were placed in safe shelters during the air raid.
«In Lviv, several rockets were hit near railway facilities. There are no casualties among passengers and railway workers. The movement of trains has been resumed, but there will be slight delays,»- head of Ukrzaliznytsia Oleksandr Kamyshin said.
Disembarkation and boarding resumed after the alarm ended. «Ukrzaliznytsia» also notes that trains, as they reach Lviv, were detained at the entrance to the city until the alarm went off. Traffic has now resumed. However, due to the accumulation of trains waiting for the alarm to stop near Lviv, a delay in arrival at the station is possible. At the same time, the railways are doing everything to minimize the delay.
We will remind that Lviv was attacked with missiles at about 8.30, on April 18. The explosions were heard in different districts.
The alarm started at 7:44 am and ended at 9.16.
At 10.30, the new air alarm started and ended at 11.00.
