The largest FIFA World Cup in the history of the tournament is underway. For the first time, 48 national teams will participate. The opening match of the World Cup took place on June 11 in Mexico City, and the final game is scheduled for July 19 in New York.
Where the tournament is held:
The tournament will be hosted by three countries at once:
- USA will host the largest number of matches — 11 host cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, and Miami.
- Mexico will have 3 host cities — Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey.
- Canada will present 2 locations — Toronto and Vancouver.
The tournament format has also been significantly updated. 48 teams will be divided into 16 groups of 3 teams, and two from each group will advance to the knockout stage starting from the Round of 32. The total duration of the competition will be 39 days, which is one week longer than before.

Where to watch in Ukraine:
Media service MEGOGO has become the official broadcaster of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Ukraine and will show all matches of the final stage of the tournament on its platform. Broadcasts will be available only with a paid subscription in the "Sport" packages or any of the "MEGOPACK" options, according to their cost.
Broadcasts will be placed in the "Football" category of the "Sport" section. At least three channels will show the tournament games:
- "MEGOGO Football First"
- "MEGOGO Football Second"
- "MEGOGO Football Third"
At the same time, some matches will be available for free viewing - they will be broadcast on the "MEGOGO SPORT" channel, which is available on T2 and cable networks.
By the way, tournaments between most teams have already taken place, including Panama – England; Croatia – Ghana; Colombia – Portugal; DR Congo – Uzbekistan; Algeria – Austria; Jordan – Argentina.
