Lviv University of Medicine became the best medical higher education institution in Ukraine

Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University became the best medical university in Ukraine according to the Consolidated Ranking of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine for 2026. This was reported by the university's press service.

According to the information portal "Osvita.ua", Lviv National Medical University ranked first among medical universities and eighth in the general ranking among 240 Ukrainian higher education institutions.

When compiling the Consolidated Ranking, the results of three authoritative rankings were taken into account: "Top-200 Ukraine", "Scopus", and "NMT Score for Contract". The final score of each university was determined as the sum of its positions in these three rankings.

This approach, according to the compilers of the ranking, allows for a comprehensive assessment of the quality of work of higher education institutions, combining scientific indicators, academic reputation, and popularity among applicants.

We remind you that Lviv Polytechnic National University for the first time took first place in the academic ranking of higher education institutions "Top-200 Ukraine 2026". The ranking was published by the Center for International Projects "Euroosvita" based on the recommendations of the international expert group IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence.
