Duda to the Kremlin: You will never again succeed in dividing and quarreling the peoples of Ukraine and Poland

The President of Poland emphasized that only Ukraine should determine the conditions under which a peace treaty will be concluded.

The only condition for peace in Ukraine can only be the complete withdrawal of Russian aggressor troops from the territories recognized by the international community.

This was stated by Polish President Andrzej Duda during a speech at the Royal Castle in Warsaw.

The leader of Poland stated that it is impossible to allow Ukraine to conclude a peace that is «unprofitable» for it, which will consist in the fact that Russia will be able to keep even a small part of the occupied territories.

Duda emphasized that only Ukraine should determine the conditions under which a peace treaty will be concluded.

«Only Ukraine should determine the conditions. The only demand is the complete withdrawal of troops from the territory of Ukraine. There is no question of any negotiations and decisions over the heads of Ukrainians,» he said. According to Duda, «if someone starts such conversations, I ask: «Have you been to Borodyanka? Bucha? Are you tired? Then go and see,» said the President of Poland.

He added that Ukraine’s Western allies will stand guard over the peace that Ukraine will determine.

He noted that the Kremlin does not give up hope of worsening relations between Ukrainians and Poles and pitting countries against each other according to the principle of divide and rule.

«Today they are also trying, scaring Poles with Ukrainians, and Ukrainians with Poles. But they will not succeed. That is why today we together from here are sending a clear message to the Kremlin – you will not be able to make us quarrel, you will not be able to divide us, never again,» he emphasized. Duda

In addition, Duda reminded that Ukraine and Poland share a long history that unites the countries.

«That is why we are not afraid to talk about the most difficult pages of our history. We demonstrated this with a joint visit to Lviv to the memorial of eagles and Sich shooters. We have a great history, a great culture and a great, beautiful future,» the Polish president added.
