In Wroclaw, Poland, law enforcement officers have apprehended two men suspected of beating a Ukrainian couple. This was reported by the Polish Minister of Interior Marcin Kierwiński on social media X.
According to him, the suspects had prior records. One of the men was apprehended by counter-terrorism unit officers as he was attempting to leave Wroclaw.
The attack occurred a few days ago. According to the mother of the injured girl, Karina Kitsai, unknown individuals attacked her daughter Anastasia and her boyfriend Maksym after hearing them speak Ukrainian with an accent.
As a result of the attack, both sustained severe injuries. The woman reported that her daughter received stitches on her neck, and doctors also suspect she and her boyfriend have concussions.
Currently, Polish law enforcement is investigating all circumstances of the attack, including its possible motive. Polish police have not yet released further details on the case.
