As a result of the Russian missile strike on July 30 in Lviv, branch library №32 of the Lviv Municipal Library at 79 Vyhovskoho Street was damaged. This was reported by the press service of the Lviv City Council.

It is noted that as a result of the explosion, all windows and doors were destroyed, internal structures were damaged, and cracks appeared in the ceiling. At the same time, the book collection was not significantly affected, as the shockwave passed along the shelves. Books fell, but the engineering structures of the premises suffered the most damage.

Currently, initial work is underway in the premises, and specialists are preparing documentation for its restoration.

After the sappers completed their work, it became known that there was a threat of another detonation, which could have caused significantly greater destruction.

An expert inspection of the building has also been carried out, a technical report on the destruction and a defect report have been compiled. The preparation of cost documentation for the restoration work is currently underway.

The Lviv City Council adds that the library premises have been cleaned. The doors have been temporarily fitted for closing, and the windows have been covered with protective film with the support of LKP "Syaivo." Employees of the Lviv Municipal Library are ensuring duty in the premises, and at night, security is provided by LKP "Municipal Guard."

The library is currently not serving users. At the same time, the Center for the Provision of Administrative Services also operates in this premises.

We remind you that on the night of July 30, Russia carried out a massive missile attack on Lviv. The greatest destruction occurred in two residential buildings on Paton and Vyhovskoho streets. In total, more than 20 residential buildings, a school, and two kindergartens were damaged.
