Mariupol resident Marianna Pidhurska, who came under enemy fire at a local maternity hospital the day before, gave birth to a daughter last night, March 10. This was announced on Twitter by Hromadske journalist Olha Tokariuk.

«I was approached by a relative of Marianna, a pregnant woman from the bombed-out Mariupol hospital. They managed to contact her briefly by phone. Last night, at 22:00, Marianne gave birth to a baby girl! They are fine, but it is very cold in Mariupol and the bombing does not stop,» – the journalist said.

It will be recalled that the Russian occupiers began shelling Mariupol and its environs, violating the agreement on the «green corridor» to evacuate women and children and provide humanitarian aid to Mariupol. A child died of dehydration . This happened for the first time in decades, probably for the first time since the Nazi invasion.
