American University Kyiv has opened in the building of the River Station, located on Poshtova Square in Kyiv. The rector of the university, Roman Sheremeta, mentioned it on his Twitter
«As a Founding Rector of AUK, it was my privilege to open our beautiful River Port Campus and to welcome the new President, Dan Rice.» – the rector wrote.

The opening of the River Port campus also included the inauguration of the new president of American University, Dan Rice.

Minister of Education Oksen Lisovyi and Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klychko attended the opening ceremony.
