On the morning of March 18, the Russians fired on the area of the Lviv Aircraft Repair Plant and Lviv airport. There are no victims and one wounded in moderate condition, as announced March 18, at a briefing by the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration (LRMA) Maksym Kozytskyi.

«Today, there was a blow on Lviv. The air defence worked, the Armed Forces worked. Four missiles fired from the Black Sea, as you know in the aircraft repair plant, partially hit the city. This is a blow to Lviv, to the humanitarian hub, where there are 250,000 displaced people who recently fled the shelling. This is another confirmation that they are not at war with the army, but with the population, women and children,» – Maksym Kozytskyi said.
He added that there were no casualties as a result of the attack, there was one victim in moderate condition. Two missiles were shot down in the Lviv region by the Ukrainian military.
On the morning of March 18, several explosions were heard near the airport in Lviv. The air alarm sounded at 6.08 am. Adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vadym Denysenko said that explosions were heard in Lviv at about 6:30 a.m., fires were seen on the outskirts of the city.
Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy said that as a result of explosions near the airport in Lviv, the windows of the Lviv Municipal Motor Transport Company were broken. Later, the mayor added that the occupiers aimed at the aircraft repair plant and destroyed the buildings. The active work of the plant was stopped in advance. Rescuers and relevant utilities are working on the spot.
Subsequently, the Air Command of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces «West» reported that the occupiers fired six missiles at the area near Lviv airport, but two missiles were shot down by the Ukrainian military.
«Russist missiles hit the area near Lviv airport. According to preliminary data, 6 cruise missiles were launched, probably X-555, from the Black Sea. Two missiles were destroyed by anti-aircraft missile forces of the West Air Command,» – the statement said.
We will remind that on March 13, at 3.30 o’clock in Lviv and across all Ukraine air alarm was declared calling the citizens to hide in shelters. The alarm in Lviv lasted for three hours. In the morning, explosions were heard in the area. According to the Lviv Regional Military Administration and its head Maksym Kozytskyi, the occupiers carried out an airstrike on the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security. According to preliminary data, 35 servicemen were killed there.
