In a few days after the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Lviv residents have become even more united and help organizations and foundations raise funds for migrants who have arrived in Lviv and the region, the wounded who are in the Lviv Military Hospital or the military currently defending our country from the aggressor. Almost all organizations, schools and churches are engaged in this mission.
Kopernik Palace of Arts
The Humanitarian Headquarters, which operates around the clock at the Lviv Palace of Arts, located at Kopernika, 17 street, loaded and sent 45 aid buses for the needs of the frontline and those evacuated from the combat zone. More than a hundred volunteers are involved in the work of the headquarters.

Garrison Church of Sts. Apostles Peter and Paul
In the Garrison Church of Sts. of the Apostles Peter and Paul, aid for the Defenders is being collected. According to the rector of the Garrison Church, Father Taras Mikhalchuk, they need: diesel generators 2 kW 2.5 kW; chainsaws, headlights, batteries, sleeping bags, mats and cars that can be sent to soldiers.

Church of St. Lazarus
Church of St. Lazarus on the street Kopernika, 27 arranged a shelter and needs humanitarian assistance.
The «Dudaryk» choir equipped the shelter in the church and hospital of St. Lazarus. To complete, they need blankets, blankets, mattresses, pillows for 33 beds.
In addition, there is a need for paper cups, plates, forks, toilet paper and towels. They also need coffee, tea, drinking water.
Settlement is carried out exclusively through the district administration.

«Warrior’s House»
The «Warrior’s House« on the street Korolenka, 1a transfers to a round the clock work. The Coordinating Council of Volunteers and the Military will work here.
First of all, we need mats and sleeping bags for people who will come to the Warrior’s House, also – materials for camouflage nets to weave them.

«Lviv Knight»
On the street Kopernika, 40a, there is a volunteer centre «Lviv Knight». A volunteering initiative to help the Ukrainian military has now set up an operational point to help citizens. Warm clothes, medicines and food are collected on the spot.

Help for the military
For the military, who are currently fighting and defending Ukraine, volunteers are gathering the necessary things on the street Khimichna, 4.
Among the essentials, people are asked to bring are medications: analgin, diphenhydramine, ketorolac, dexamethasone, adrenaline, metoclopramide, magnesium sulfate, panthenol, rheopolyglucin, dextran, ethamsylate, tranexa, hemotran, sangera. Also needed are medical bandages, elastic bandages of various sizes, bandages of various sizes, tires for limb immobilization, intubation tubes, urinary catheters, IV catheters, thermal blankets, syringes 5, 10, 20, antiseptics for wounds, hands, decompression needles, bandages for pneumothorax, ambu bags, antivirals (tablets and powders), nasal drops, ear and eye drops, antiallergics.

Coordination Centre to provide shelter for internally displaced persons
A Coordination Center has also been set up in Lviv to provide shelter for internally displaced persons. Anyone who can help physically or by emergency means is asked to call: 032 254 60 79.

Among the priority items collected by the coordination centre are: heat-saving blankets, sleeping bags, mats, mattresses, clothes and raincoats; body cleansers, toothpastes and brushes, diapers and pads, paper towels, antiseptics, alcohol, reusable and disposable masks; combs, women’s, men’s and children’s underwear, microfiber towels, reusable tableware; batteries, candles, flashlights; food: water, fast food, energy bars, dried fruits, nuts, canned food, vermicelli, instant cereals.

«Plast» centre in Lviv
The «Plast» Centre in Lviv has opened a headquarters for the urgent collection of provisions for the needs of the Ukrainian army. It operates on the street Sheptytskykh, 16.
«Plast is a national scout organization of Ukraine, which educates Ukrainian youth as conscious and responsible citizens, leaders of society. In difficult times, the stratum community gathers and repeats the words of the oath taken on his knees in front of the flag of Ukraine. We remain calm and ready to make every effort to support Ukrainian society. Many of the platoon members have already chosen their role in defence and joined the ranks of territorial defence,» – the statement reads.
All adult members of the Plast from the age of 18 are mobilized to volunteer and the community is encouraged to join.
Among the necessary things to collect are medicines (Ibuprofen, Paracetamol, painkillers, antipyretics, bandages) and products (coffee, tea, sugar, energy, bars).

Coordination headquarters for volunteers and activists
A coordinating staff of volunteers and activists who are ready to help and respond to all emergencies gathered a self-organized group of people. According to Bohdana Brylynska, one of the representatives of several public organizations and head of the Lviv City of Literature office, they are looking for and asking to join people who are landlords, property owners in Lviv or know where there is housing where migrants can find shelter or can help in his search.
For those who have decided to become a volunteer or activist and are ready to respond to situations and various requests, you can join the Telegram group here. Landlords or owners of real estate in Lviv, who may temporarily settle people, are asked to apply here. There is also a form for those who plan to move to Lviv and do not know who to turn to or need any other help. They can leave their data in the application form.
We will remind you that Lviv residents are asked to urgently bring food for refugee children who were forced to relocate due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. This was announced by event organizer Ivona Loban on Facebook. All things should be brought to the street. Hnatyuka, 11 in Lviv, where the First Theater is located.
In the boarding school «Dream» that street Lysenko, 53 in Lviv, 85 orphans from the Donetsk region were brought. They need help with clothes, food, medicine. Children – round orphans who were brought from Mykolaivka in the Donetsk region. Now they urgently need the drug «Aminazine» and essential medicines, as well as hygiene products, diapers S, M, clothes for children aged 7-15 years.
It will be recalled that a financial contribution can also be made. There are now many charitable foundations and NGOs that raise money for the military, and you can find the bank accounts to send money on this link. The Council of Bishops has compiled a list of temples that have large rooms and are ready to provide them with shelter.
