In the first quarter of 2022, the revenues of the general fund of the Lviv budget were fulfilled by 103%, with 70.2 million hryvnias received over the plan. For March, the budget was fulfilled by 100.5%. This was announced in a comment to Lviv Now by the head of the budget commission of the Lviv city council, Natalia Shelestak.
«The general fund is being implemented. We are talking about everything related to mandatory payments, including all salaries of budgetary institutions, accruals for it, payment of utilities of the city council, the salary fund of organizations, institutions, etc.,» – she explains.
At the same time, as for the revenues of the development budget, they were fulfilled only by 30.3% – 47 million hryvnias were received.
«While the war is going on, we are not transferring a reverse subsidy from the local budget to the state. We have returned more than 800 million hryvnias a year to the state budget, we have not done so during these months of martial law, and this is a very significant expense. We also do not repay loans now, there are many costs that we do not bear,» – she said.
In addition, Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi reported for Lviv Now that tens of millions of hryvnias had already been allocated from the Lviv city budget to support the army on the frontline.
«Lviv sent tens of millions of hryvnias to support the military at the front. But this amount is confidential information, we have no right to disclose it. There is a presidential decree. We answer only those inquiries that we consider safe, we do not disclose information that could be harmful,» – he said.
We will add that the city should dispose of funds according to the decision of the executive committee after consideration by the budget commission. At the same time, according to Natalia Shelestak, nothing was submitted for consideration. The last time, on February 26, deputies approved the allocation of money for generators to hospitals, municipal water supply company «Lvivvodokanal», as well as the minimum cost of territorial defense – approximately 2.5 million UAH.
