According to him, the occupiers forced the plant’s management to record the appeal, which they plan to use for propaganda purposes. Russia’s propaganda machine aims to create another fake for its citizens and the international community in an attempt to justify its crimes, the minister explained.

He reminds that Zaporizhzhya NPP operatives have been held hostage for 4 days. There are about 500 Russian troops and 50 units of heavy equipment at the station. The employees of the station are physically and psychologically exhausted.

«We call on international partners to take all measures to withdraw Russian occupation forces from the seized nuclear facilities and close the skies over Ukraine. A failure at a nuclear power plant due to the use of weapons by Russian troops will lead to a catastrophe for the whole of Europe. If there is a breakdown, Europeans will be forced to switch the comfort of their homes to radiation shelters. We must stop Russia’s nuclear terrorism together. We need to do it now before it is too late,» – the minister urged.

We will remind that in Energodar occupiers fired at the nuclear power plant. ZNPP Deputy General Director Ihor Murashov wrote that nuclear safety at the station has been violated and reactors are in danger. Also, Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration reported on March 7 in its Telegram channel that the block transformer of Unit №6 was put into repair. After inspecting it and finding damage to its oil system, Unit 6 was put into an emergency repair. It will be recalled that the transformer was damaged on March 4 during the shelling of the ZNPP site by the Russian military.
