Today, March 1 at 8.01 am, the Russian occupiers launched an airstrike on the central square of Kharkiv. They hit Freedom Square, where the Kharkiv Regional Administration building is located, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine informs in the Telegram.
The video footage shows an explosion in the central, largest square of Kharkiv, near the regional administration building. At the time of the explosion, there were many cars and people in the square. According to preliminary data, it was an airstrike on the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.
The State Service of Emergency Situations reports that at least 10 people were killed, more than 20 injured, rescuers and volunteers were rescued about ten people from the rubble. Work is underway to clear the debris. The stairwell and corridors on all floors were completely destroyed, and a huge funnel has formed in the square.
