The Ukrainian air defense shot down a Russian drone of the «Forpost» (Outpost) type, which was flying over the Yavoriv training ground, then penetrated into the territory of Poland, and returned to Ukrainian airspace, after which it was shot down. This was reported in the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces.
«The occupier’s drone first circled over the Yavoriv training ground, apparently studying the consequences of the rocket attack in the Lviv region, then delved into Poland, returned to Ukrainian airspace and was shot down by our air defense. The remains are being sought,» – the statement reads.
It should also be noted that on March 14, the air defense of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine liquidated 4 more helicopters and one plane of the occupiers. In addition, the fact of shooting down an enemy cruise missile from a Ukrainian fighter plane was confirmed.
Several air raids on columns of russian equipment were carried out by Air Force strike aircraft – Su-24m bombers and Su-25 attack aircraft.
In total, the Ukrainian Air Force has shot down 81 Russian planes and 95 helicopters bombing Ukrainian cities since the invasion started.
It will be recalled that on March 13, the occupiers launched an airstrike on the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security near Yavoriv, Lviv region. According to preliminary data, 35 servicemen were killed there.
