President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Commander-in-Chief’s Staff and ordered an inspection of all Ukraine’s shelters.
In particular, Oleksandr Kamyshyn, a Staff member and Minister of Strategic Industries, was instructed to conduct a full audit of all defensive structures in Kyiv. He is to submit a report to the president in 10 days. Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko received the same instruction for Ukraine. The meeting also addressed the state of Ukrainian air defense. They talked about the need to repel threats from the ground, sea, and air – they discussed ways to improve it, including available resources, revenues from partners, and domestic production. They also talked about the frontline but provided no details.
The members also heard an intelligence report on countries that help Russia circumvent sanctions. Also, increase the production of missiles and drones in times of war.
«We are preparing appropriate decisions,» the president emphasized.
As a reminder, on June 1 eve, a 9-year-old girl, her mother, and another woman were killed in a nighttime missile attack by the Russian Federation near a Kyiv clinic. A capital resident whose wife died in the Russian attack said that people ran to the shelter at night, but no one opened it for them.
