“This place is not just a building: the residential house is an architectural monument of national importance and part of the ensemble of the Bernardine Monastery. The explosion damaged the bell tower of St. Andrew's Church, and the adjacent structures of the complex caught fire. We are currently recording all the damage. We will provide further updates on the consequences of the attack. This is no accident. The enemy is hitting us, our history, our shrines – trying to erase our memory”, – wrote Yevhen Boyko, administrative director of the Lviv City Council executive committee.

“We will help people relocate now. The State Emergency Service continues to extinguish the fire. The attack on the museum on Lontskoho, windows were blown out in the Organ Hall as well. There is great trouble in Sykhiv, where there is a 9-story residential building. This building was attacked by a drone twice, from one side and the other. Rescuers and medics worked promptly. The only remark is that people do not react very actively to the air raid signal, and many people were in the city during it.”
To the question about complaints regarding shelters, the mayor replied:
“Look, we open the Town Hall, it's always possible to go inside. Any cafe, restaurant, basement can be entered.”
Father Pavlo Maryan Dolishniy from the parish of St. Andrew’s Church said that at the time of the attack, he was in the church. There was no service at that moment, however, since the church is always open, there were people in it.
“Our side stained-glass windows were damaged. There is no damage as such in the church, but the shock was palpable.”
On social media, videos also began to be published showing a man hanging the Ukrainian flag on the balcony of a damaged residential building in Sykhiv.

“Unfortunately, 15 hits were recorded. To repel the air attack, all possible means of air defense were involved — manned aviation, anti-aircraft drones, EW, and ground-based air defense. According to preliminary data, as of 6:00 PM, 541 enemy UAVs were shot down/suppressed by the air defense.”
