Patriarch Kirill, leader of the Russian orthodox church in Moscow and a former KGB spy, has called for a 'Christmas truce’ on 7 January when both Orthodox Christians and Ukrainian Greek Catholics celebrate Christmas.

But this is a farce. He's trying to shift the narrative, trying to make the world forget Russia is the aggressor. A true Christian spirit would not be bombarding Ukrainian cities and would not be prohibiting freedom in Russia.

The Russian church, since the days of Stalin, has been an arm of the totalitarian Kremlin.

Plus: the amazing resilience of the Ukrainian economy despite the devastation of war.

The painting of Kirill in the video is the work of Ukrainian artist Danylo Movchan.
