Ukraine received €2.9 billion from the European Union for macroeconomic stability and defense

The European Union has allocated another tranche of 2.9 billion euros to Ukraine within the framework of the Ukraine Facility financial program. These funds will be used to support the country's macroeconomic stability and strengthen its defense capabilities.

On the provision of assistance reported President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"I thank the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the member states of the European Union for the decision to pay Ukraine €2.9 billion within the framework of the Ukraine Facility. Very timely support that will help ensure Ukraine's macroeconomic stability and strengthen our defense capabilities. We are working together in full coordination to implement all agreements. Thank you to the European Union for your help and unwavering solidarity," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Recall that the Ukraine Facility is a financial support program for Ukraine from the European Union with a total volume of 50 billion euros, designed for 2024-2027. It is aimed at financing the state budget, stimulating investment, and implementing structural reforms on the path to Ukraine's EU membership.
