President Volodymyr Zelensky warned of the risk of a food crisis due to Russia's blockade of Ukraine's maritime exports. He said this in his Telegram channel following discussions at the Warsaw Security Forum.
According to the president, in just a month or two, countries may face food shortages, particularly in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, where Ukraine exports millions of tons of grain.
Zelensky noted that international attention is currently focused mainly on energy issues, particularly diesel fuel, while the problem of grain exports and possible famine also needs to be taken into account.
He added that Russia is currently showing no willingness to end the war and is taking no steps toward de-escalation.
Recall that while Donald Trump posts on social media about an "energy truce," Russian "Shaheds" continue to fly toward Ukrainian power plants. Volodymyr Zelensky stated, that Ukraine supports the idea of halting strikes on energy infrastructure, but on fair terms.
