In particular, the carpenters are selecting timber, planning its delivery, and developing training programs.
According to the First Deputy Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Moskalenko, craftsmen with experience in restoring the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris will be involved in the work. At the same time, the cooperation involves not only rebuilding the roof but also transferring knowledge and practical experience to students of vocational education institutions and veterans.
During this visit, the French carpenters plan to visit a forestry enterprise to select timber for the future structure.
The next stage of work is scheduled for April 2027. At that time, a team of about 20 carpenters, mainly from France and other European countries, will arrive in Lviv. They will work in Shevchenko Grove: there they will prepare the timber, make the beams, and number each element so that the roof structure can later be assembled from them.

The next stage is planned for summer. Then the carpenters will join the prepared wooden elements together and erect the roof frame. Samuel compared this process to assembling a large constructor set: the prepared and numbered wooden elements will later be connected to form a single structure.
As the head of the Halytskyi District Administration, Halyna Hladyak, noted, the building on Soborna Square, 3 is planned to be restored comprehensively. Currently, documentation is being prepared for tender procedures.
