Celebrations for the 25th anniversary of Pope John Paul II's visit will take place at the St. Nicholas Church in Kyiv

On Tuesday, June 16, solemn events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the visit of Saint Pope John Paul II to Ukraine will begin at St. Nicholas Church in Kyiv. This is stated in the official announcement of the event.

Program of celebrations and media accreditation

The events will begin at 5:30 PM at the church located at Velyka Vasylkivska Street, 75.

The first event within the framework of the anniversary celebration will be the solemn cancellation of a commemorative postage stamp, which was issued specifically for this date. After that, attendees will participate in a prayer service for the Defenders of Ukraine. The program will continue with Holy Mass, led by Bishop Ordinary of the Kyiv-Zhytomyr Diocese Vitaliy Kryvytskyi SDB.
