Smoke still rose above the Assumption Cathedral at night, and by morning, dozens of people had begun to gather at the gates of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Some silently photographed the consequences of the strike, others cried while looking at the damaged sanctuary. While rescuers were clearing the rubble and diplomats were documenting the destruction, people tried to understand how one of Ukraine's most important spiritual landmarks ended up among the targets of another Russian attack. A journalist from "Tvoe Misto" visited the site and saw what the Lavra looked like the day after the strike.
