The Netherlands has decided to host a full-fledged Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression by Russia against Ukraine. This was announced by Volodymyr Zelensky following a conversation with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Rob Jetten.

"I want to thank today for the historic decision of the Netherlands to host a full-fledged Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine."

According to the president, the tribunal will allow for the legal prosecution of Russia's top political and military leadership specifically for the crime of aggression, not just for its consequences.

The parties also discussed the consequences of Russian strikes on Ukraine and further cooperation in the field of air defense. Zelensky thanked the Netherlands for their support and solidarity.

We remind you that on May 15, at a meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, a key decision was made in the process of creating a Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression by Russia.

The Office of the President of Ukraine expects its work to be launched as early as next year.
