One of Russia's largest oil refining complexes – Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat in Bashkortostan – has completely shut down operations after an attack by Ukrainian drones on the night of July 14. This is reported by Reuters citing its own sources.

The head of Bashkortostan stated that the enterprise may resume operations within a few days. At the same time, Reuters sources indicate that due to significant damage, the repair of technological units and equipment may take several weeks or even months.

Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat is one of the largest oil refining complexes in the Russian Federation. The enterprise produces gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, liquefied gas, polyethylene, and ammonia. According to Reuters, in 2024, the plant processed 7.2 million tons of oil, which is about 2.7% of Russia's total oil refining.
