The city walks will take place this coming Sunday, however, pre-registration is mandatory for participation in the events, as the number of places in groups is limited. All meetings are adapted to the security conditions of martial law, so in case of threat, participants will be able to quickly move to the nearest shelters. This is reported by Kyiv City State Administration's Department of Tourism and Promotions together with the Kyiv Center for Tourism Development.
What excursions have been prepared for Kyiv residents this Sunday?
The organizers have developed two thematic routes along the central streets of the city, which will start simultaneously on the same day. The meeting points for the groups will be communicated to all registered participants personally by the organizers.
The following walking tours are available:
- Excursion "On the Paths of Ukraine's Independence" — during this walk, visitors will be able to learn in detail about the history of our country's formation as a free state. Guides will show key locations in Kyiv associated with the historical events of gaining freedom and will talk about outstanding personalities who played a decisive role in the struggle for Independence. - Excursion "From the Charter of Liberties to the Basic Law" — this route is dedicated to the stages of development of world and domestic constitutional thought from the earliest documents to the modern Constitution of Ukraine. Participants will walk along the famous streets of the capital, discover the notable landmarks of Pechersk, and learn more about the architectural heritage of the district and the biographies of outstanding state-building figures. The organizers draw attention to the fact that pre-registration for both events is mandatory, as groups are formed with a limited number of people for convenience and safety.
