Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi commented on the dismissal of Mykhailo Fedorov from the post of Minister of Defense and public statements about a conflict between them. The general called for avoiding internal disputes and focusing on the fight against Russian aggression. He reported this reported on his Telegram channel.
In his statement, Syrskyi recalled the first days of the full-scale invasion and emphasized that all efforts must now be directed towards strengthening the state's defense. He also noted that in wartime conditions, it is important to maintain unity and prevent a split within the country.
I will make every effort to ensure that similar events can take place in a free and independent Ukraine. To this end, we need to focus on the war and an effective strategy that is now showing concrete results.

Earlier Mykhailo Fedorov, commenting on his dismissal, stated serious disagreements with the commander-in-chief regarding approaches to conducting the war. According to him, some initiatives of the Ministry of Defense were blocked, which became one of the reasons for the conflict.
Against the backdrop of personnel changes in the government, as well as Fedorov's resignation, the situation caused public resonance. In several cities, protests were held in his support, and some military and public figures publicly expressed their disagreement with this decision.
We remind you that on July 15, Mykhailo Fedorov confirmed that he is leaving the post of Minister of Defense of Ukraine. The decision on his dismissal caused a wave of indignation among military personnel, volunteers, and public figures.
Activists have already created a petition demanding that Fedorov be kept as Minister of Defense in the new government, and street protests are being prepared in various cities of Ukraine.
Later, the Deputy Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Pavlo Yelyzarov, submitted a resignation report from military service. He cited Mykhailo Fedorov's removal from the post of Minister of Defense as the reason for this decision.
Also, European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius called the resignation of Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov unexpected and emphasized that government changes should not affect the implementation of joint defense projects with the European Union.
On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada voted for the appointment of a new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
