Vasyl Kyrylo, a veteran of the Russo-Ukrainian War, has opened his own barbershop, "Iron Wings," at St. Panteleimon Hospital. This was reported reported by the press service of the Lviv City Council.

It is noted that Vasyl Kyrylo voluntarily joined the defense of Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Initially, he served as an assault infantryman, and after his first injury, he trained as an FPV drone operator. In 2024, the soldier sustained a second, much more severe injury, resulting in the loss of a leg.

Vasyl underwent treatment and rehabilitation at the UNBROKEN Center, where he initiated a program of free haircuts for patients, inviting volunteer barbers to the Center. And now he has opened his own barbershop.

The city council adds that every Monday, "Iron Wings" offers free services to veterans. The barbershop's founder also encourages other barbers to join the volunteer initiative and provide free haircuts for military personnel undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.

And from Tuesday to Saturday, a 20% discount is available for military personnel and employees of St. Panteleimon Hospital.

Currently, the barbershop offers men's haircuts, beard styling, and grooming services. In the future, the team plans to expand the range of services by adding professional hair coloring.

The 1st Territorial Medical Association notes that Vasyl Kyrylo's story is an example of how rehabilitation helps not only to recover from a severe injury but also to find new opportunities for professional self-realization, support fellow soldiers, and contribute to the creation of an accessible environment.
